NEON RAINBOW CRACKLE

▼▼▼

Look how clever I am!

I've done a neon rainbow crackle design, and I'm in love.

What I did!

I started with a white coat by W7 on the bottom, so colour stands out a lot more.

Then I did the striping with a pink by Miki, and orange by Miki, Honolulu by Ultra3, Green With Envy by Factorie and a blue by Miki. I did  two coats of each colour. On my pinky nails, I had difficulty fitting all five colours on the nail, so I only went to the green.

After the colours were dry, I did a thin clear top coat before using Earthquake by Model's Prefer. I then used another clear top coat and tada, I did it!

dots

This is the first design I've done using my new dotting tools!

Base colour is Rock by Revlon and dots are Your Majesty by Rimmel London.

It's pretty self explanatory, just two coats of the purple and then using the dotting tool, make some dots.

Tada.

Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2012

The design I did today is inspired by this ^ look from Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2012.

Also had some inspiration from a Miss Ashley Benson.

▼▼▼▼

Anyway, here's my finished look.
And this is how I did it.
After applying a base coat, I applied 2 coats of Sally Hansen's XTreme Nail Wear in Celeb City.
Then when dry, I used Tinseltown by Models Prefer as the pink centre. I just used the width of the brush and also did 2 coats. And then secure it all with a top coat!

Voila. ▼

Fluorescent orange, wassup?
I'm wearing this colour from Miki.
And because I am lazy, I still have little bits of my previous colour, Blue My Mind by Rimmel.

POTTER NAILS! ♥

I finally did some decent Potter nails!
Colours from thumb to pinky: I used Goldfinger by Factorie, Revlon Red by revlon, Honolulu by Ultra3, All The Glitters by Factorie, a Chi Chi magnetic polish (bronze), Black Satin by Rimmel and Green With Envy by Factorie.
I did these on fake nails (there's no way my nails are that long). I used for the first time by nail art liner brushes which helped a huge deal.

How I did them:
Paint the lightest colour on the nail first (gold, yellow, blue, yellow and green). Do two coats.
Have a bit of nail polish remover to clean the brush(es).
Start easy with the lightning bolt. Either dip the liner into the bottle of polish or get the colour of the polish brush. Then do the lines.
Continuing with the red on the Gryffindor nail, make a cross on the nail, then with the actual polish brush fill in two bits diagonally (Diagon Alley) opposite.
Starting on the Ravenclaw nail (I did the book colours not the movie colours), do the bronze line diagonally with the liner brush. Then do the same diagonal lines above and below the middle line. Then fill in the top and bottom triangles with the nail polish brush.
With the Hufflepuff nail, simply with the black nail polish brush paint half the nail!
On to the Slytherin nail, start using the liner brush and the black polish to create 3 lines mostly evenly apart. You can if you like do more lines, thicken the lines and such.
And of course finish with a top coat.
TADA! ☺

Spearmint Kiss

I love this colour so much! It's Spearmint Kiss by Factorie.
It's so gorgeous, and it can be mistaken for a blue, but it's definitely a green.
This is one of my go to colours if I'm looking to jazz up an outfit.
One disappointing thing with Factorie polish is that isn't quick drying.
It takes so long to dry, but it's definitely worth it! xo

KYARY PAMYU PAMYU INSPIRED NAILS

I did these nails yonks ago.
Inspired by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's nails below.
Hope you like them!

Anyway, how I did them was two coats a purple polish.
When dry, alternate other colour dots on nail.
I guess it's that easy.

Sunday, 30 September 2012

So, my silver Sally Hansen's were boring me a little tad bit. So I jazzed it up OPI's Turquoise Shatter.

YAY!

Saturday, 29 September 2012

I had to go to work, and my nails looked terrible, so hey let's buy more nail polish!
Pictured is Sally Hansen's Celeb City.

Omg such a gorgeous colour!

Candy nails!

I have used Factorie's Baby Pink(?), Factorie's Lemon Meringue, Ultra3's Mojito, Factorie's Blue Moon and Factorie's Lavender Fields. And glow in the dark to tone down the green and pink.

Basically, two coats of each colour on desired nail, and ta da. You're done.

Zomg, such a crappy picture. Should start actually using a camera or something.

Anyway, what we have here is Revitanail's Cosmopolitan Chic, Factorie's Lemon Meringue and a glow in the dark polish I pick up from my work.

Simple enough to do, just two coats of the orange on all fingers bar the ring.
Two or more coats of the yellow on the ring.
When dry, apply at least two coats of the glow in the dark.
Mine is very interesting, it seems t pastel down the nail colour, making it a toned down look for the day and a   groovy (I cannot believe I just used the word groovy) night look. I got distracted by them while I was in bed.
Anyway, definitely seal it with a top coat, it really needs it here.

And I was so not watching Criminal Minds (I love you Matthew Gray Gubler).

Magnetic!

Woooooo, magnetic nail polish!
Have been very anxious to try it, and I finally did!

This is a Chi Chi colour, hasn't got a name.

What you do is paint a rather thick coat on your nail, then immediately hold the magnet in the lid on the polish over the nail. Try to hold it as close as you can to the nail without actually touching the nail.
I know the bottles of magnetic I have have a little bit you can rest on the finger so yeah.

Rather enjoyed testing this out!

Monday, 10 September 2012

Omg, my camera on my phone is pathetic.

Extremely simple design here.
BYS's Blue Bang, some nail stickers and Rimmel's Matte Finish.
I think you get the jist of how it was done, but anyway.

Minimum 2 coats of the blue because it's extrodinaryily crappy.
Then pick your stickers and put them on your desired nail.
And finish with a coat of the matte finish.

Ba dum tish.

Monday, 3 September 2012

Yet another simple and boring design.
Using Jay Jays' Black, Revlon's Ocean and Rimmel's Matte Finish.

Simply paint two coats of black, then over the ring finger, a thick coat of the green.
To finish, two coats of the matte.
ta da.

Wednesday, 29 August 2012

Don't mind how messy they are, or the table. But hey, I'm wearing galaxy tights!

Anyway, we have Sally Hansen's Blue Me Away and Nail Star Nail Art in White.
A simple design, does require some patience.

Apply two coats of the blue, wait to dry.
With the nail art, outline a triangle from the tip to about the middle of the nail, and fill it in.
And that's that.

Friday, 27 July 2012

Heads up, am posting a few older designs/boring nails that I've had on my phone and dating them when I actually did them on here. Okie dokie.

Here we have a plain and simple design, sorry for the dreadful quality of photo.
It is simply Jay Jays' Black with OPI's Turquoise Shatter over the top.
Quick, easy and ultra effortless!
Just a couple of coats of the black until it's opaque and a thickish coat of the crackle.
